PRC has always had the potential to grow and expand, and to do this it needed bigger facilities, changing rooms and storage.  It has been a long term Big Project, to add more rooms, enable more activities, make the most of the outdoor activities and paddlesports, and to work towards a more sustainable future. The Official opening ceremony took place on Friday 16th October 2015.

The funding

In total £375,000 was raised. PRC would like to thank all our funders for this project. The big funders were Sport England, British Canoeing, Severn Waste Services and Wychavon, with aditional funing and support coming from Pershore Rotary, Clothworkers Foundation, Asda Pershore and Bernard Sunely Foundation.

What it enables

The facilities are now as good as any activity centre in the UK. Warm changing rooms, enables a fantastic activity session to be organised. great meeting rooms and classrooms. new activities like the SUP's.

Also - and this is the important bit - any and all income from these new facilities will go 100% back into running the charity and providing the front line provision for young people and the community.

Rescued by Spirit Construction

Despite a rigerous tendering process for our contractors, the initial company had to go into voluntary liquidation half way through the job! this could have been disasterous, but we were 'saved' by our neighbours Spirit Construction, Part of the Spirit Ventures group based next door at the Angel Hotel. They have finished the job to the highest standards and come in on budget.

How you can help
  • use the meeting room

  • get family or friends to think about the birthday party venue

  • corporate SUP? or group canoeing?

  • school bookings

  • family or individual lessons

  • Archery?

and remember - all the income helps secure the future of the facilities and the work for young people.
